Strategy for the productive city at the territorial scale: The neighborhood of Canyelles is located on the outskirts of Barcelona, ​​it suffers today from the remoteness to a dynamic activity zone.

Nevertheless, if you look at the territory scale, you can see Canyelles as a strategic place of transition between the city and the mountain of Collserola, so it is a matter of seizing this opportunity, In order to allow exchanges between the two entities, and thus to turn an off-center situation into an asset. Intent: to add to the contest program,

- Agricultural activity of the cooperative of small producers of Collserola.

- Departures of excursions and bicycles.

- Collserola Biodiversity Center.

 

Project-wide strategy for the productive city: To make Collserola productions a real resource, choosing the medicinal plants of the mountain in order to create a production of urban agriculture of herbalism, in the islet dwelling.

 

Strategy for social housing in the outskirts of Barcelona:

- To compensate for the lack of activities of this periphery known as "dormitory".

- To rethink the nature of the housing needs that the outskirts of Barcelona really need and how to make these neighborhoods attractive to a population with little financial means. The residents of Canyelles do not need much housing, then they need work opportunities and opportunities to launch activities. Thus the intention is to propose another form of housing, which allows the ownership and the free appropriation of the spaces by its inhabitants, within the framework of a neighborhood that generates activities and which bases its resources on the contributions of exchanges.

 The project is based on the reciprocity of exchanges which makes the programs inseparable from each other. The productive city is a city that takes and gives, so we have focused our thinking on the effects of cycles that exist between production systems. At the scale of the project, the two production spaces which are the dwellings with their gardens, and the agricultural activity, form a cycle.
